From The Terrace

After watching From The Terrace starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, I went in search of the Berstein score from the film. I found lots of things, but this piano arrangment of the themes from the movie is brilliant. Berstein did a brilliant job scoring the extensive hours of film, and this track does it justice. Can't speak for the rest of the album, but From The Terrace is wonderful. Enjoy!

Leonard Pennario was among the most popular American-born concert pianists of the 20th century. Pennario's professional career began at the tender age of 12 when he filled in for an ailing soloist on the Grieg Concerto in A minor at a 1936 concert with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Freshly inducted into the U.S. Army, Pennario gave his Carnegie Hall debut in the uniform of an Army private, playing the Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 in November 1943.
