God Bless this!

I just looked up this band because i was tired of emo bands and bands not sending good messages and crap. Im 14 years old and i luv to rock out and i luv to go to church, and when i found this band i was so excited because im trying to get more country and christian music on my ipod i just got for my birthday! (its december 24, i know im sooo special, lol) anyways, i want to live my life positvly (sp?) and not worry about darkness and crap. I just want to luv god and rock out! This is the perfect band! (for the most part) :) i hope thy get more of their music on itunes soon :)

Who Ever Said That, " Metal Was From The Devil?" ^_^

Within Temptation Clashes with Flyleaf.... and heavily garnished with a 500 pound Bible. Finally! A Christ-centered, Symphonic metal band with Johanna's beautiful vocals taking the lead; Heavily loaded with strings and plenty of whispers to send chills down your spine. I have been waiting for this album in english for such a long time, now. I believe our friends from Finland has finally given us what (most) U.S hardcore, metal-hungry Christians have been starving for. So where did they get their name? On their official website (which is part Finnish, part english), they had once said that H.B. stands for 'Holy Bible'. But I think they like to keep it a little "hush, hush" since they allow their fans to use their imagination in creating a name for the acronym H.B. (Or so I am lead to believe). As for the lyrics: Your heart MUST be open to them, they have Christ written all over the place! I think it's littered enough with Truth to turn God-haters away from their music, but at the same time, it's just the right amount to encourage those who are either luke-warm in Christ, or who do not know where they stand with God. (I know some people may disagree with me on this, but that's alright. It's just my opinion ^^) "It is Time" is one of those songs. and "Holy Secret" Is so beautifully written to reassure all Christ-followers that we have something to set us apart from the rest of the world. And I just love how the Album starts, and ends with praise to our Lord, Jesus! The only issue I have with HB is the way some of the lyrics are written, they just are not meant for singing and it makes them, at first, sound a little cheesy. This almost turned me off. For example, the song "Be Aware" has awesome meaning, but the lines, "...Who refuse to obey what He's saying" and "...We don't want to read what is exactly said in the Bible" just kills me! Yes, it works great poetically, but lyrically, it just doesn't work. So, in my opinion, with a little re-wording of the lyrics (without changing the substance behind them!) I Believe H.B. has the potential in developing into a well-known U.S band, such as Skillet and Within Temptation. With "Frozen Inside", their first English-release, being so full and well-rounded with vocals and sound, I can't even imagine where their next album will stand. ('Frozen Inside' is the english version of their 2006 album, titled 'Enne,' ) I am a sold-out fan for these guys

It's about time!

Wow, this band is just amazing. I had all but given up on Christian music in general and this band pretty much dumped me on my back side. Symphonic rock with a message - and it's not exactly a hidden one either. These guys make no effort to fluff up or glaze over that they're on fire for God. If the lyrics don't convince you of this, the salvation message at the end will. Anyone who is a fan of Within Temptation who'd like to give Christian music another chance really should give HB a listen. I'm going to paraphrase someone who wrote a review ahead of me: "Welcome to the future of Christian music."
