Absolutely amazing

The least hedge like music I've ever heard. The lucky chops are such an inspiration and should win a Grammy award. These fine fellas have motivated me to become a smooth dancer while playing the trumpet and have discovered a new way to express inner feelings. Not to mention they are the only reason I wake up in the morning. Thank you for giving my life meaning.

Such an inspiration

I love them so much. I will never forget the first time I saw them. I felt so many emotions seeing the crowd form around them. I literally got emotional because the feel they created in that train station was unreal! Love you guys!

About Lucky Chops

Busking superstars, the New York instrumental outfit Lucky Chops are a dynamic, horn-based ensemble known for their infectious live performances and funky, electronic dance music-influenced cover songs. The group broke out in 2014 after a video of their subway performance mash-up of Lipps, Inc.'s "Funkytown" and James Brown's "I Feel Good" went viral. Although the band's membership has shifted over the years, Lucky Chops solidified in 2016 around trombonist Josh Holcomb, tenor saxophonist Daro Behroozi, trumpeter Joshua Gawel, drummer Charles Sams IV, and sousaphonist Raphael Buyo. Originally, the group came together while Holcomb, Behroozi, and Gawel were students at Manhattan's famed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Another early member was Manhattan School of Music graduate/ baritone saxophonist Leo Pellegrino (aka Leo P). Initially, the band made their name busking in the subway and posting videos online. After going viral, they were able start booking tours and recording. They debuted in 2016 with the full-length effort NYC. Pellegrino left the band to focus on his similarly inclined "brasshouse" trio Too Many Zooz. In 2017, Lucky Chops returned with the Walter EP.
