Sony repackaged and re-released three of Eddie Money's earliest albums — Eddie Money, Life for the Taking and No Control — as a slip-cased box set. It's not a bad way to acquire the albums if you don't already own them, but there are no bonus tracks or new packaging or remastering, which means it's of marginal interest to hardcore collectors.

Eddie Money arrived in the late '70s at the height of album rock's popularity. He was able to survive in the early MTV era by filming a series of funny narrative videos, something his AOR peers were reluctant to do.
