Great follow-up to "Gangnam Style"
Despite similar lyrical themes (if one takes the time to read what lyrics to Psy songs mean in English), "Gentleman" is a worthy follow-up to the surprise monster international hit "Gangnam Style", with clever bilingual switch-ups of Korean and English lyrics. Can't wait for the album to come out. Plenty of pop talent lurks behind Psy's highly bizarre and foreign exterior.
This is so stupid
Not just another PSY song
This is good. PSY is a smart guy, it comes across in the writing and lyrics. Just reminiscent of Gangnam Style enough to still be a PSY song, but also different enough to not be lazy. The lyrics are pretty obviously a send up of the machismo pervading current music, and his use of "mother father gentleman" and "wet PSY" are riffing on the mis-hearing that often happens when American audiences listen to foreign lyrics. The song is fun and catchy. Glad to hear another great single from PSY.
