KITSUNE= ELECTRO-HEAVEN

As always, Jerry Bouthier (JBAG), Gildas, and Masaya have released two more amazing albums with the best avant-garde synth-pop: they always run ahead of the pack. Kitsune Maison Compilation #14 stands out for its emphasis on singles and individual artists-- the best in new French Touch, including Saint Lou Lou's dreamy opener, Aussie Plastic Plates' mid-tempo party track (awesome for a house party), and "Venezuela," the new track from the English trio Is Tropical's upcoming E.P., "Flags." The synths on Track #11, "Red Eyes" by Thomas Azier, are especially beautiful. Gildas Kitsune Club Night Mix #3 appeals to the continuous mix-lovers and fits night-drives perfectly. The best track, however, is actually a wee bit old [for a Kitsune release(last Summer, 2012)]: Major Lazer's eerily hypnotic "Get Free" featuring Amber Coffman's (from indie darlings Dirty Projectors) wavering soprano.
