iTunes Review

With M!ssundaztood's title track and "Get This Party Started," P!nk announces herself as post-hip-hop-pop's bratty Joan Jett. Soon after this excellent singer confesses being "a bad, bad girl" ("Dear Diary") and "a hazard to myself" ("Don't Let Me Get Me"), rakes over the coals of a broken family life ("Family Portrait"'s anguished cry of "I don't want to split the holidays") and dysfunctional love affairs ("Just Like a Pill").

Great first.

Few know that this is the album that made P!nk who she is today. Great album, buy it.

So I've never actually thought Pink had any read talent. I've never liked Get the Party Startedand that's like the only Pink song I knew back then. Now I'm 13 and the release of Pink's 5th album, Funhouse has just happened. I got more into Pink with her last album, I'm Not Dead. I liked "U + Ur Hand" and "Who Knew," so I checked out more of her stuff. And I found this. I didn't like her third or first CD as much as this one, her second. Her first one isn't the same type of music and her second one just isn't as good, but I still recommend it. I bought "Don't Let Me Get Me" after hearing it on the radio and checked out "Just Like a Pill" (which is my next target. What's so weird about me? I like contemporary music and am 13 in 2008, but I go and buy old songs from popular artists that no one listens to anymore. I like the earlier CD's from artists because they show their singing/songwriting ability before they begin to "develop." For example, Pink developed as an artist and her sound is a bit different that her earlier works. At a younger age, Pink has more to write about with teenage problems and her broken family, which is my type of music. It's like an autobiography in a CD. Not a bunch of love songs wrapped up in one that all sound the same. Like Pink? Buy this CD.

its a good cd and my favorite is get the party started=] i'd recommend it for any pink fan!

Genre: Pop

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Although initially viewed as another face in the late-'90s crowd of teen pop acts, Pink (professionally known as P!nk) quickly transcended and outgrew that label with her combination of pop songcraft and powerhouse, rock-influenced vocals. Born Alecia Moore on September 8, 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, P!nk received her nickname as a child, years before she dyed her hair accordingly. She grew up in a musical family and was a regular on the Philadelphia club scene by the age of 13, first as a...
