Marc Maron blows your mind again

Marc Maron is a comic genius, using comedy to entertain, to educate, and to eviscerate people who are (we'll say, charitably) unenlightened. "Tickets Still Available" is funny, political, sometimes disturbing, and highly recommended.

An extremely important comedy album

If you have heard Maron's other CD, or read his book "The Jerusalem Syndrome," or maybe listened to him on Air America Radio's extremely funny show "Morning Sedition" you know what to expect: existential philosophical/nihilistic social and personal exploration combined with biting political commentary and alternating moments of absolute hilarity and exhilarating "Ah-ha!" moments. Unlike his last CD, "Tickets Still Available" takes the entire shtick (if you can call it that) that extra step it needed. Listening to the album not only is good entertainment, it actually serves as a conduit of self-actualization. A review honestly can not do this album justice... it is more than just a comedy CD, far more than someone recording stand-up. Marc Maron is to stand-up what Chuck Palahniuk is to modern literature: a dark genius whose work can be described as nothing less than definitive. If you enjoy good comedy and try to lead an examined and intellectually curious life, you should absolutely buy this CD.

More Maron

Funniest comic out there. Right up there with Colbert, Stewart and Chapelle. Comedy Central should give this guy his own show. I can't understand why someone like Mencia can get a show but a SMART funny guy can't. Buy this album laugh your a** off.

A "comedian’s comedian," Marc Maron built his career by doing standup comedy in the '90s, radio in the 2000s, and podcasting in the 2010s. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Maron was a regular on the underground comedy circuit in New York City during the '90s, and while specials for HBO and Comedy Central would follow, his relatively small fan base was evenly split between standup comedy fanatics and fellow comedians. It was the former that would help the comedian during the 2000s as he hosted his...
