iTunes Review

Big-time talents join Marley brothers Damian, Stephen, and Julian for Set Up Shop’s third installment. Tarrus Riley’s passionate vocals soar on a sharp, brass-punctuated slice of one-drop reggae (“Dem Gone Too Far”), while elder statesmen Third World give Abyssinians classic “YinMasGan” a dramatically rocking treatment. Neo-roots star Kabaka Pyramid takes politicians to task on “Well Done,” and Morgan Heritage do Damian and Skrillex one better on the dubstep-driven “Light It Up.” The sweet, tuneful nectars of the UK’s Christopher Ellis and Cali’s J Boog are there to balance out any heavy vibes.
