Customer Reviews

I might be biased, but ...

Being the drummer and label owner, I am most certainly biased when it comes to reviewing this album. But I never would have released this recording unless I thought it was something absolutely special and insanely great. Terry Trotter combines all of the wonderful things you'd ever want to hear from a pianist: impeccable harmonies, gorgeous lines, tremendous swing and technique. Chuck Berghofer is a total swinger on the bass. The Trio is Chuck's baby and we were very fortunate to have recorded this particular evening in front of a quiet but appreciative crowd. The sound is terrific and the vibe is completely cool: you can listen to this album, any time, any place ... perfect for your new iPad or your old iPhone ... or even older iPod! Really happy that the CD is now available here at the iTunes Store. ~ Peter Erskine

Telepathy at it

Peter Erskine is one of the great jazz drummers of our time. The telepathy that happens between these three men begins and ends with Erskine. Terry Trotter is superb, as always, and Erskine's comments about Chuck Berghofer are spot on. This is improvisational jazz at it's very best.

Sit back and relax.....this is an amazing album!

Piano and rhythm blend seamlessly in this great live recording from Peter Erskine, Terry Trotter and Chuck Berghofer. These musicians are clearly at ease in their command over their instruments. Creating a crisp medley of piano, upright bass, and percussion the songs seemingly guide you to your place of ultimate happiness and relaxation. Can't wait to listen again!
