A place of disregard, loneliness, and shadow

A new offering by ambient, minimalist act "Marconi Union" is now available, and is entitled: 'Ghost Stations'. This CD is replete with four impressionistic movements, with the second, and third being piano-oriented. Reminding one of a Harold Budd, or Goldmund composite. The first, and last pieces are also, wonderfully-executed in the Marconi's 'signature-style'. The whole album is a mere life-echo with the appropriate buzzes, ticks, chimes, and beeps set to an ultra slow-motion cadence. With a number of stretched-out spatial anomalies added, to effectively create a blurred, former reality. A place of disregard, loneliness, and shadow; quietly being devoured by the relentless advance of time. This CD, should appeal to fans of the aforementioned Goldmund; Maps & Diagrams, Loscil, and Drifting In Silence. This should mesh well on a playlist with any of the artists mentioned. Recommended.
