A Phenomenal Album!

Ari Shine is one of the most gifted musicians out there, and his latest album showcases his treasure trove of talents. I downloaded the album the day it was released and have listened to it countless times since then. The range of songs – from the straight up rockin’ “All I’ve Got Is Love” to the emotive “Ship In A Bottle” – fit together perfectly. Ari’s voice is showcased to perfection, his guitar skills are phenomenal, and his lyrics are smart and poetic. While I have many “favorite” songs on the album, as of this writing I would have to choose “Here With Me” or “Better Every Day.” I encourage everyone to take a listen to this amazing new work. An excellent addition to my daily playlist!

This is, by far, Ari Shine's best work. This disc has so many layers of brilliance, I can't even put them all, into words. Ari has always been a great guitar player, but his songwriting abilities, and turn of phrase, seem to be, off the charts, good. The production has a great feel to it, and it is a disc he can truly be proud of.
My favorite songs from it are the bouncy and energetic "Better Anyday" with one eye on the realistic, and one eye on hoping that things may improve.
"Simple" is a slow, gripping ballad, that I've found myself humming from time to time, with maybe some of the greatest lyrics in a long while.
"Against The Night" is my new favorite though, and I will tell you why....In my head, it evokes the kind of images that Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger conjured up in songs like "Born to Run" and "Hollywood Nights". Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that he is either of them, though.
The rest of this disc has some great songs, with a cohesive feel to all of them. This disc, from me, gets an A, and if you download it, you won't regret it. Check it out!
