iTunes Editors’ Notes

Few entertainers have grown up as fast, or as publicly, as Ray J. When we first met him in 1997, he was Brandy’s adorable little brother on the wholesome TV show Moesha; ten years later, in 2007, his sex tape with Kim Kardashian brought him the massive fame he always wanted from his music. Finding a balance between one’s own personality and the public’s perception can be a precarious feat for a young pop star, but Ray J manages to pull it off on All I Need. “Like To Trick” and “Sexy Can I” bridge the flirtatious fancies of the teenage years with adult bedroom games. Rodney Jerkins helms a string of productions that deviate just enough from the cookie-cutter formulas of modern R&B; witness the merger of piano and organ on “Gifts,” and the Motown bassline that swings underneath waves of xylophone on “Girl From the Bronx.” And while his sex tape scandal will prevent Ray J from ever playing the teenybopper again, he hasn’t forgotten his old tricks: “Good Girl Gone Bad” is as candy sweet as anything a New Edition fan could hope for.

All I Feel (2008)

I kinda like the album, but I doubted. I had listened to his album online, but I got tired of it. The beats are great, but the lyrics are bad. Many songs talk about seduction, pleasure and lust. No wonder this album is underrated. Ray J could do better than this. I only recommend "Sexy Can I", "Jump Off" and "All I Feel" from this album.

surprisingly good

Hey...i honestly got more than i expected...This was pretty good coming from this man...Its definetely for the ladies..something for the ride to the hotel after the club you know....Thanks Ray J...help ya dudes keep em in da mood....

Good Follow-Up to Raydiation

This a solid album. It's hard to say if this is better or worse than the breakthrough Raydiation -- one of the most underrated R&B albums in recent memory. It's definitely different -- where as Raydiation was more reflective with some sex-heavy songs, All I Feel is more sex-heavy songs with some reflection. On both albums, though, Ray J really has an ear for good melodies. The standouts here are "Jump Off", "Where You At", "It's Up to You" and "Good Times." Overall, it's another solid album from Ray J, and I'm liking it more and more with each listen. It's time for R&B listeners to really start acknowledging Ray J's talents.
