I'm not really much into the alt. rock sound, but groups like The Presets, Taxi Doll, and The Killers are slowly winning me over. Like another reviewer wrote, I heard the song "Girl And The Sea" on a surfing DVD (Young Guns 2, which was produced or sponsored by Quiksilver clothing, I think) and I just really found the song enchanting. I can listen to this over and over again in the car on "repeat." I grew up a "rocker" but became an electronic music/dance fan, so the marriage between the two works well for me I guess. I'd love to find and hear more music like this. I hope The Presets find a fan base in the US after their success in Australia and the UK.

The Presets rock! Girl and the Sea is such a beautiful song, the beat and the almost one-pitch tune of the singers voice combine to make a song that can be listened to and enjoyed at anytime. 5 stars.

Absolutely Great.

The song Girl and the Sea is addicting, and the rest of this EP is phenominal as well, but the song that I absolutely fell in love with upon first listen was Summer of Love. For an instrumental song, it's simply the best I've ever heard. I recommend the title track of this EP, but check out Summer of Love, too. If you like Girl and the Sea, you won't be disappointed. I wasn't.

Julian Hamilton (production, keyboards, vocals) and Kimberley Moyes (production, drums, programming) met in the early '90s as students at Sydney's Conservatorium of Music. Both were there to study classical music, but as they delved into the great composers, neither could forget an extracurricular...
