Rod is great live

Just saw Rod last night at the Mucky Duck in Houston and he was phenomenal. Great stage presence and just a blast to listen to. He's an old friend of Slaid Cleaves and they've written a lot of stuff together. He even produced Slaid's new album, "Unsung." Check out all of Rod's music and support this awesome talent. He was a nice guy to talk to as well, real down to earth.

substance and sustaining

Girl From Arkansas is one of my favorite Picott albums. I love the raw nature of the songs, sung with honesty and energy. The dobro and lap steel work by Matt Mauch (also harmony vocals) lends much to the albums interest and vitality. particular favs : the sweet The Last Goodbye, and the down and dirty Wrecking Ball. a must have album.
