She's Finally Back!!!
I adore Mathai. Her voice is like a fresh autumn breeze. Her sound is subdued and unique. She's not your ordinary pop artist, and that's what I love about her.
Unique Album with Great Writing and Catchy Melodies
This album is NOT your average overproduced piece of trash with crappy lyrics such as "la la la la ooh la la ga ga oh ma ma ooh la la", which I'd rather hear from the minions from Despicable Me rather than the radio. Mathai has done a great job with this piece of art. All of the songs are solid, but the two standout songs to me were "Sweetest Thing" and "Flame", both of which can more than hold their own on any top 40 or indie radio station. "Flame" is a fun track with this indie pop vibe that is infectious and great writing to match. "Sweetest Thing" pays tribute to the classics and the melodies, production, and lyrics are extremely mature and above the typical mediocre four chord songs you hear from upcoming twenty-something pop stars. This track is the stuff legends (and Grammy winners) are made of and I'm not even kidding. Great work, Mathai!
Finally it's available!!! Love it Mathai.
