Customer Reviews

This EP is AMAZING. I'm a huge fan of William Beckett. I loved The Academy Is... but William is really doing wonderful on his own. I'm so happy for him now that he is doing what he has always wanted to do! I love all of these new songs, they're perfect.

I certainly don't know how I feel about this. I've been a die hard fan of TAI since the release of Almost Here; I truly respect William Beckett as an artist and a person but I can't help feeling let down by this solo work. I guess I didn't expect it to be so poppy and mainstream sounding. He has such a great voice and could pull of anything he wants to musically, I just find it strange that this is what he put out. If his goal was to progress from TAI, it doesn't seem he has accomplished this. This doesn't even compare to TAI.

Met My Expectations

I wasn't really expecting much from this. I'm not one for dissing my favorite artists for going in new directions (Example: All the people harassing Patrick Stump even though he's brilliant). This though, is just terrible. There is nothing unique about it. It's just someone who is really not considered a worthy musician without the right people carrying him along. That's what made TAI work so well and that is what has made numerous other great bands work well. It's all about team work. I think this little project is more about his image and ego to keep from fading into obscurity like say, Ryan Ross from P!ATD, than it was about making something real. What I want to know is if he's broke (not that I think he's filthy rich to begin with) or if he has a good cushion of money to live off of for a few years and he just wanted to keep himself occupied.

What's going to happen now is that all the little girls who claim to be die-hard TAI/Beckett fans will rate this 5 stars and talk about how awesome it is because that's what they do. He could sing about sitting on the toilet and they will still eat it up. So, if anyone actually reads these reviews, preview before buying and spend your money wisely.
