Customer Reviews

the art matches the music

Saw a review for him in a magazine and thought hmm might be nice to check him out ( and his music too ) Took me a few weeks but i finally got around to it and must say it's a great album. Reminds me of some of the best trip hop from the 90's. Not to say it sounds dated by any means. It has the most interesting dark beats I've heard in a long time. A very great debut album by someone that might go under the radar, but definately worth checking out. Try Mahonis, it got me to say "wow" outloud.

Music for imagery

So when I first heard this album, I was initially surprised at all the great imagery that it inspired. There are so many musical textures to Skopic's music, making it a great album to play while in a "creative mood". Very similar to my experiences with Amon Tobin, Royksopp, and Boards of Canada, I can put it on while painting or writing, and be inspired without being distracted. Though the whole album is great, Mahonis and Verbatim in particular stand out to me as great tracks. I highly recommend his music.
