Customer Reviews

This album was well worth waiting for. I have listened to Brooke since the release of her first album, and I have yet to come across anyone else this creative and real. I have been lucky to see her perform live twice, and she is a awesome person, both on stage and in person. This second album is significantly shorter than her first, but it is nonetheless solid. It flows beautifully from track to track, and by the time you get two tracks in, you are swept up in the wonderful mixture of the piano and string arrangements. I like the fact that strings play a bigger role on this record--it gives the tracks a graceful, dreamy element that Brooke is great at crafting in her songs. If anyone is looking for an artist who is unique and talented, Brooke is it!

Brooke At Her Best!!!!!!!

This is definitely worth the wait! This is a very beautiful piece of art! I especially love all the pretty instruments on Godwin! Brooke Waggoner should definitely be way more popular than she is! I first heard about her in HM magazine.

I saw Brooke in Birmingham, AL a while back and instantly became a fan. I've enjoyed her earlier albums immensely, but Go Easy Little Doves is a work of art. Everything about the album--the lyrics, the sweeping string arrangements, the vocals--is flawless. Every song on the album is outstanding, but my personal favorites are "Chromates Soft Love," "Femmes," and "Godwin." I know this review sounds like hyperbole, but I've rarely encountered an album with the quality of music and songwriting in Go Easy Little Doves. It took me a few listens to realize it, but this is my favorite album of 2009.
