EDITORS’ NOTES

On Born in the Echoes, The Chemical Brothers immediately put a couple things to great use: their wide-ranging sonic palette and an equally impressive Rolodex. But while friends like Beck, St. Vincent, and Q-Tip star on a mix of sometimes-breezy, sometimes-bumpin' pop and dance tunes, the Chems never turn their back on their underground roots. “Just Bang” is a classic, acid-inspired breakbeat track, while the breathy synth-scape “Radiate” will keep you guessing about what’s next.

Never a let down with the Hermanos!!

I’ve followed the CB since I first heard their track Chemical Beats off of their debut album “Exit Planet Dust” and honestly, they have never let me down. They have withstood all the biters (the Crystal Method, Apollo 440) and kept a sound that is all their own. I have the pleasure of seeing them live in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom when they toured in support of “Surrender” in 1997. I was soaked in sweat from dancing through their entire performance. Mind-blowing!!! Can’t wait for this to release. I usually am able to find early releases through the grapevine but I still support the artists and BUY their music when it is officially released to the masses.

Simply THE BEST

After 20 years Tom and (especially) Ed have made one of their best albums to date. It's THAT good.

From the beats to the synth lines, The Chemical Brothers have shown us once more how true electronic music is masterfully engineered. Listen as they laugh in the face of pop music while at the same time paying homage to it. Listen as they redefine, remix, and alter every perception of what electronic music still has in store for it. Future harvests bringing bountiful bleeps and arpeggio almanacs. The Chems have much more in store for us then ANYONE could have imagined. Truly Further from Further.

This has been playing on the radio

for about 2 weeks here in Seattle. I loved Go the first time I heard it & didn’t know who it was. When I found out it was The Chemical Brothers & Q-Tip, I was stoked! Awesome song. Can’t wait to hear the rest.
