Lonely Night

On this album of Christmas songs Merle manages to bring out the lonesome side of the holidays in pure Haggard fashion. While not the finest example of his great vocal ability, it is refreshing to find an album that conveys emotions that typically assault so many at Christmas. Anyone can sing happy Christmas songs, but Merle does everything in his own unique style... even Christmas!
