Tops

As great as Ryley Walkers first two albums are "Golden Sings" is his finest effort in my eyes. Complex, moving, smart and beautiful. This guy has a one of a kind sound and approch to his craft. Echos of greats of the past but absolutle new all at once. For me a genius - a master of his instrument, voice and channeling his ideas.

Great listen

Mix Primrose Green with Tindersticks and Feist's "Metals" and you get close to the sound on this album. Fresh, light, deep bass, all the sounds are remarkable. A good use of various instruments. Very tongue in cheek, a la Father John Misty, which gives this record more life than Primrose.
