Good, but find the originals elsewhere...

This set contains re-recordings of Richard's hits done somewhat later, probably the early 1960s based on production values. For the real fire, get the two Specialty sets also available on iTunes. Those New Orleans sessions produced quite possibly the greatest rock music ever recorded. Check out "The Girl Can't Help It" -- featured in John Waters' "Pink Flamingos" -- and which features the word "engrossed". Mind-blowing, awesome, crazy stuff from a genius. (I'd rate the Specialty collections five stars each)

Some of these are rerecordings and they lack the raw sound that made the original's hits. This CD's " Tutti-Frutti " is also the Pat Boone version of it with the editied lyrics. If you want the real Little Richard songs look at the list of other CD's and find an older one, or google the song you want to find which record it was originaly released on.

Buyer Beware

This is an exploitation album that features lame, re-recorded versions of the original songs. Get Georgia Peach, it's the real thing.

With his bullet-speed deliveries, ecstatic trills, and the overjoyed force of personality in his singing, he was crucial in upping the voltage from high-powered R&B into the similar, yet different,...
