Wynonie Harris: The First Rocker?

The question of who released the first rock and rock song is probably impossible to resolve, but Wynonie Harris' "Good Rockin' Tonight" is one of the strongest candidates. Harris, who was every bit as good as Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, and Bo Diddley, is sometimes classified as a jump blues artist, but GRT (1947) sure sounds like rock to me. In any case, his work belongs in every collection of 20th Century American music.
