Refreshing change in pace :)

This album is awesome. It's definitely a refreshing switch from the fun/spunky lyrics that typically accompany eleventysongs... not that I minded those at all! While those kinds of songs are what drew me to Eleventyseven initially, I love that this album maintains a similar stylistic approach but has more God-centered lyrics that demand a higher level of reflection than I'm used to with this band. Great job, fellas. Looking forward to more!

Hymns meet electronic......another piece of pure gold from Eleventy

Once again Eleventyseven wows us with yet another amazing EP. This time we get hymns which is a HUGE plus in my book. The electronic flare adds a new side to these classic musical pieces. One interesting thing, this stuff sounds like The Jellyrox as opposed to Eleventyseven (adore JRX.......but release it under that name if it is going to sound like it, Matt) My only complaint is it's length.....I totally could have waited a few more months from five more gem tracks like this.

The beginning of the the album (Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus) is the weak point in my my mind (and it's still fabulous). The album escalates to perfection in the second hymn and doesn't stop till the last note is struck.

Can't wait to see if this album gets Eleventy the reception they deserve. Highly recommend this!

Back to the Basics

It's good to know that Eleventyseven hasn't forgotten who they do music for, not the mainstream, or the publishers, but for God almighty. Thanks for doing this. I pray that you continue and that God is your inspiration. You've drawn people in with your music, now let yourselves be living testimonies for Christ.
