Editors’ Notes

What started when Michael Angelakos self-recorded a Valentine’s Day EP as a gift for his girlfriend has now evolved into a Boston-based quintet with a thoroughly amazing sophomore album. “Take a Walk” picks up where Passion Pit’s praised 2009 debut, Manners, left off. “I’ll Be Alright” finds them at their most experimental, with hyper-edited cut-up arrangements tangling up and then unravelling to reveal an uplifting electro-pop standout.

Passion pit

Passion pit has done it again. With a great balance of sound and it up beat and cheerful tone this album is a must have in anyone's library. Either buy it here or pick it up at the store. You won't be disappointed.

Gossamer is perfection!

Completely exceeded my expectations. I recommend "It's Not My Fault, I'm Happy", "Carried Away", and "I'll Be Alright"

The gift, an EP entitled Chunk of Change, soon wound up in the hands of friends and acquaintances, who were enthralled with the work. Eventually, Passion Pit became not only a vehicle for the romantic expressions of Angelakos' heart but a full-fledged band -- at least for live gigs -- and opened for a number of well-known artists, including...
