19 Songs, 1 Hour 5 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The Definitive Collection is a 19-track survey of Michael Jackson's early career with Motown Records. Nine of the tracks are with The Jackson 5, including a modern-day alternate "minus mix" of "I'll Be There" that removes much of the instrumentation and was featured on the then-recent album The Stripped Mixes. The remaining 10 tracks are from Jackson's solo career in the early to mid-'70s, prior to his work with Quincy Jones on Off the Wall and Thriller. His first No. 1 solo pop hit, "Ben," is here alongside fantastic Jackson 5 pop hits such as "I Want You Back," "Never Say Goodbye," "ABC," "Dancing Machine," and "The Love You Save," as well as other solo hits like "Got to Be There," "Rockin' Robin," and "I Wanna Be Where You Are." The original version of "I'll Be There" with The Jackson 5 illustrates young Michael's talents with a ballad, a skill that would serve him well throughout his career. For fans seeking an early-career retrospective of one of the world's most popular musicians, this is a decent place to start.

I LOVE YOU MORE MICHAEL!!!!! :)

I have to say Michael Jackson was one of the best human beings I have ever seen in my life!!! He was a great humanitarian, donated millions of money to charities, loved children, cared about other people other than himself, and his music inspired the world. I have to say this album is filled with all of his greatest hits from the good old Motown days. Cute kid, with a TREMENDOUS amount of talent. Just buy the whole album...it's worth it!!! :) Mike, I miss ya sweetie<3
