Best Work To Date

This album is a good step forward in the development of Vocal Few. What I have liked about their previous work are the adventurous and challenging lyrics, simple yet fun tunes, and beautiful harmonies. All of these characteristics are still present, but with much more musical depth. This album features live strings, drums, and even a little synthesizer accompaniment. All of these new additions to their songs ultimately make their work more immersive, and consequently more addicting to listen to. Keep making music. Never Stop.

About Vocal Few

Seattle duo Vocal Few make earnest, heartfelt folk music and pop. Formed in 2011, Vocal Few feature the talents of vocalist/guitarist Matt MacDonald and vocalist/pianist Kristie MacDonald, who are husband and wife. A couple since high school, the MacDonalds initially envisioned Vocal Few as a way for Matt to make music away from his main band, the Classic Crime (with which he has played since 2004), and as a creative project while Kristie was pregnant with their first child. The duo released their debut EP, She'll Be Right, in 2012. The album was well received and led them to record a second EP, 2013's Tall Trees. In 2015, Vocal Few returned with their third EP, The Dream Alive.
