Poorly edited, needs music
I loved Jon Kabat Zinn's book and was hopeful to augment my practice with these meditations. The sound of his swallowing and smacking is very distracting and took me right out of the practice. The cadence is off, and it was just too difficult to relax. I highly recommend Mark Williams mindful meditations instead
Nicely done
This is a subtly effective, 4-lesson album. Kabat-Zinn uses words in a masterful and nuanced way. His suggestion is to follow each program for two weeks and then choose the one(s) that speak most directly to you.
To those who say "Needs music", I'd reply that you can add your own to it... but if it had music, people like me wouldn't be able to remove it, right?
Excellant for me
This is good stuff. Kabat-Zinn doesn't smack his lips or swallow, just the usual sounds of a tongue moving in a mouth. This isn't music, it's good guidance instruction for mindfulness body scan, meditation and basic yoga. I like the guidance and want to be clear about my experience with the album.
