Musical Bliss

Fightstar are one of the freshest, and most unique bands that I've heard in awhile. Their ingenious combination of heavy riffs and Charlie Simpson's beautiful, melodic vocals really pays off. They're debut, Grand Unification was an excellent album, One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours improves upon that and as a result easily ranks as one of my favorite albums. Though primarily alternative metal, the album occasionally touchs on post-hardcore with tracks like "Deathcar" and "Tannhauser Gate" where Alex Westaway provides brutal and powerful screaming vocals to complement the heavy guitar-work and Charlie's wonderful vocals. The instrumentals of the album are the epitome of excellence. The heavy, intense riffs and awesome drumming combine with the vocals to create musical bliss.
