Album Review

The second collaboration with Nashville producer Harry Stinson following their 2002 breakthrough, Five Dollar Bill, Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer is the fourth studio release from Canadian country act Corb Lund & the Hurtin' Albertans. Featuring guest vocals from Western icon Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Canadian singer/songwriter Tim Hus, and folk legend Ian Tyson, it includes the singles "The Truck Got Stuck," "Counterfeiters' Blues," "The Truth Comes Out," and the title track. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

This guy has actually seen a highland steer

Corb Lund is the finest all around country group out there right now. If you are from the country these songs will fit you like an old leather glove. The lyrics are so real you can smell the barn and the music is flawless. This CD is excellent and I recommend “ Five Dollar Bill” as well. If you get a chance to see Corb live, do it. Corb and band are charming entertainers, exceptional musicians and easy on the eyes.

My new favorite country group

Top notch country music, with enough twang, horses and Ian Tyson to keep traditionalists interested and a rocking pace to satisfy the rest. The Alberta flavor to some of the songs is a real plus for anyone who has lived in the northern Rockies/Canadian prairies

Get this CD!

Corb Lund Band has a fantastic way of telling life stories…Be it serious or whimsical material…Very upbeat and fun…They just make you want to crank it up…Listen and you will be hooked!
