Nostalgia Trip

This was Sum 41's first "major" album. Although it's not nearly the same caliber as "Chuck" or "Does this look infected?," it's still an interesting look at Sum 41's roots. First-time Sum 41 listeners should probably pass this album up for now and buy Chuck, but some old (yet fun) tracks on this album include Makes No Difference, and Summer. This album isn't critical in terms of Sum 41's greatest work, but it's still their first EP, which is worth something. Right?

BEST 41 ALBUM

Alright, stop, colaborate and listen guys, ive been reading through all these reviews, and its always the same thing, a 1 star one thats says "im not even gonna listen to it its dumb" a 3 star one that says " its pretty good for their first album, but i would recommend something else like chuck" so, first of all, why chuck? get does this look infected, and second of all, this album rocks. they have cool guitar riffs to almost every song, catchy lyrics and rythms, basically everything a true punker could dream for. this is a real musical album. there are a lot of solos on drums and guitar. this album reminds me of does this look infected, kind of a darker punk genre. SONGS TO CHECK OUT: grab the devil, machine gun, what i believe, makes no difference, summer, daves possessed hair, and another time around. when u first listen to daves possessed hair, u might think that this sounds like all the other songs on this album, and it does... until you get to the what were all about part. its a mixture of punk and rap, like fat lip. one of the best songs on the album. BUY THIS ALBUM (or steal it, either way you want)

good album

give em a break guys. theyre a great band. and this was their first album. the album might not be great but considering how awesome they are now, we should appreciate this cd.

Biography

Formed: 1996 in Ajax, Ontario, Canada

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Sum 41 hit worldwide radar in 1996 after tiny Ajax, Ontario, proved unable to fully contain the foursome's blathering mixture of punk-pop riffing, hip-hop poses, and toilet-bowl humor. Led by guitarist/vocalist Deryck Whibley, who looked like a mash-up of the Prodigy's Keith Flint and cartoon land's Calvin, the band also included guitarist/vocalist Dave Baksh, bassist Cone McCaslin, and drummer Steve Jocz. Wooed by the boys' goofy antics and incendiary live show (and excited about the prospect of...
