Customer Reviews

Better In Practice Than In Theory

I don't know what yahoo iTunes got to write that product review up there, but it's the other way around. When I first started listening to these girls, I thought of them as just an interesting novelty band. Before too long, though, I'd dug up every recording of them I could find, because this band is AMAZING. Like George Thorogood, they specialize in what you'd call Roots Rock--they get their inspiration from a time when Chuck Berry was the man, Elvis was still thin, and Rock n Roll was still about sex you shouldn't be having. And to call them a "girl group" carries negative associations like the Spice Girls--it would be more accurate to compare them to The Ramones.

iTunes doesn't currently offer much of The 5.6.7.8's catalogue, but if you dig this record, make sure you find yourself a copy of their singles collection, Bomb The Rocks--it's just AMAZING rock music.

Lame review, iTunes...

If you`ve never seen these 3 ladies live, you have no idea as to their power. Granted their music doesn`t always transpose well to CD, but don`t let that be a bother. This band flat out Rocks...and Jack White knows it. Great stuff!

Featuring a revolving cast of musicians (only one of them ever being a boy) and possessing small but loyal fanbases in countries from China to the U.S., 5.6.7.8's is the brainchild of the sisters Ronnie...
