Logical Progressions

Bluetech takes his classic bit-hop funkadelic crunch and potent melodies (a contagious sound unmistakably his own), and elevates it with the most universal of instruments, the human voice. Exploring a more soulful side with this release, heavy with classic dub inspired skank, horn sections, and the pristine vocals of Katrina Blackstone. Also found are excellent collaborations with Dr Israel rounding out the journey into reggae territory in a way only Bluetech can deliver, and a remix of the Lynx and Janover song "Mend", which breaths new life into an already exquisite track. Like an island breeze kissing your skin while drinking in majestic landscapes, feeling at one with the source. This release is not only a logical progression, but a direction sure to attract many new followers. Thank you for doing what you do Bluetech! More please. :)

Something New and Deeply Rooted!

Bluetech has crafted yet another incredibly visceral sonic journey with this new album "Love Songs to the Source". This is one of those rare albums that you can play from start to finish, time and time again, always finding nuances you hadn't perhaps heard before. The sounds and styles presented here are signature Bluetech but there is something different, new and completely refreshing this album accomplishes. Thumbs Way Up - This is my new Summer Album! I think I need a road trip with the top down! Thanks Bluetech!

Got me through Wyoming

Was recently on a cross country road trip & a friend suggested this album. Didn't need much of a sell as I've known and enjoyed Bluetech for some time now. Downloaded it to my iPhone in Cheyenne & let it loop all the way across Wyoming and Utah, which is the better part of a day's drive. Have to say that it made the drive and barren scenery somewhat mystical and magic. "Escape" is an incredibly beautiful work and I found myself replaying it again and again. It''s one of the prettiest songs I've ever heard. "Two River Sisters" runs a very close second. Download & enjoy, and enjoy for a long time to come. You won't tire of it quickly!

Evan Bartholomew, under the moniker Bluetech, produces his unique style of experimental noise from San Diego, CA. Classically trained on the piano for public performing, Bartholomew deviated from the traditional sounds and began to express the rhythms that sprouted from within him, and Bluetech was born.
