iTunes Review

Raunchy, revivalist garage rock with an irresistible dose of Southern-fried soul. That’s what the Followill family—comprised of sibling preacher’s sons Caleb, Nathan and Jared plus their cousin Matthew—conjure on a debut that beat plenty of the era’s skinny-tied big city boys at their own game. Whether they’re hurtling through sweaty-browed indie floor-fillers (“Wasted Time”, “Molly’s Chambers”), slow-burn blues (“Trani”, “Dusty”), or freewheeling Americana (“California Waiting”), these Tennessee tyros mint a sonic formula that’s as vital as it is outrageously infectious.

Where the hell is talihina sky????

Rock N' Roll!

This is Rock music in all its dirty, sexy and dangerous glory! In my opinion this is the Kings of Leon's best album, it is simple, raw and rock and roll. There is little gloss an slick production like some of their later albums, it is just loud guitars filthy songs and danger. They have a sound that is like Jet if they got in a drunken brawl and forgot to tune their guitars. Don't judge these guys by "Use Somebody" and check out Youth and Young Manhood if your a fan of gritty rock and roll!

Talihina Sky (hidden track)

If you're looking for the amazing track "Talihina Sky" it combined on the track for "Holy Roller Novacaine". That's why the song is 12 minutes long. If you wait for like 4 minutes after "HRN" plays, you'll begin to hear "Talihina Sky". You're welcome :)

Initially embraced as "the Southern Strokes" for their resurrection and reinvention of Dixie-styled rock & roll, Kings of Leon steadily morphed into an experimental rock outfit during the 2000s. The Tennessee-bred quartet debuted in 2003 with the Holy Roller Novocaine EP, whose blend of raw, unpolished boogie rock was further explored on their debut full-length, Youth & Young Manhood. Such revivalist music was matched by a similarly revivalist appearance -- including long hair, mustaches, and tight-fitting...
