Reseña de álbum

On his fifth album, B-Legit seems to be moving slightly out of the underground and edging towards the mainstream. The feints towards mass acceptance are pretty minor — he's not trying to be Nelly or anything — and basically consist of making only every third or fourth song about the power and glory of weed instead of every other verse. Of course, the weed songs are still what he does best; "Luv 2 Get High" and "Bag Habit" feature the loosest, slyest rhymes on Hard 2 B-Legit. Elsewhere, as on "I'm Singlin'" and "Whatcha Talkin'," B-Legit sounds like he's making a conscious attempt to clean up his sound, but as a result, these tracks lack the personality and sparkle of earlier albums like Hempin' Ain't Easy. The knockout punch is "Straight Fool," a duet with E-40 set to a wiggy sample that sounds like it could come off a Missy Elliot or Timbaland record and featuring the toughest delivery and sharpest rhymes on the entire album.

This is legit

Usually I don't like it when rapper's change their style for the mainstream, but it definitely worked for B-Legit. "So International" is a phenomenal single, even if it's different from the usual B. Some other good stuff on here too.

Luv To Get High

This song is definetly one of the best on the entire album. Overall i really like this album and beleive it is the best album that he has made year to date. B-Legit keeps it real with much funk in the truck, much bass, & w/much Vallejo Cali-F-O-R-N-I-A flavor!

Rapper B-Legit (Brandt Jones) was a member of the Click, a group that also featured his cousins E-40, Suga-T, and D-Shot. The quartet scattered three studio albums across the '90s and early 2000s. Game Related, the second of the trio, placed the Vallejo, California-based group just outside the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 in 1995, the same year B-Legit — along with E-40 and D-Shot — appeared on 2Pac's "Ain't Hard 2 Find." B-Legit's solo career began in earnest while the Click were active....
