Awesomely bad music for an awesomely bad movie
Hard Rock Zombies is one of the most appallingly unwatchable movies I've seen. Somehow, I've managed to sit through it three or maybe four times. It doesn’t get any better, or even any easier to watch, but the movie is so littered with inadvertent comedy that it’s impossible to catch it all the first time around. I always considered the music, more synth pop than hard rock, to be the nadir of the whole thing. Even worse is the way the actors mime the music onscreen. The drummer- who is playing a real set of drums, despite the fact they are clearly synthesized beats- spends more time twirling his drumsticks than anything else. I was blown away when I discovered there was actually a soundtrack released, and even more so when I found it here. This isn't all the music in the film, which is perhaps my only gripe. There was supposedly a vinyl LP released back when the movie came out, which I would imagine is more complete than this 5-song, 16-minute sampler. But I guess this'll do for now. It’s truly awful, wretched music, but I simply love it.
