Ohh Ferry

Very pleased with this mix comp. With no Tiesto comp this year, and Armin's ASOT looking like it might lack a little luster, I went for this one and I'm happy with the results. Lots of instrumental, trancey tracks, which is what I like to see in a comp. Nice work Ferry.

This is like the classical music of trance. I have not ever been into Coresten, as I preferuch more the sound of Armin and Tiesto. We haven't had a new In Search of Sunrise from Tiesto. Not sure if we'll ever have another. It's very hard waiting for Armin's new A State of Trance 2010, even if it'll be out in like few days. THIS came as a surprise. It's very trance, very dramatic, very beautiful. If anything, buy the second set of tracks as they will blow your mind out, although the whole thing flows like it wants you to feel like a butterfly in space.

Good Stuff

In my opinion, there is not a better trance DJ than Ferry Corsten. He seems to put all of the best tracks together in an amazing mix compilation. If you can find them, I also recommend his Global Trancemissions sessions from the now-defunct Moonshine Records label.

Throughout the first decade of the 2000s, Corsten issued mix albums at a roughly two-discs-per-year clip, including releases for Moonshine, Thrive, Ultra, and Gatecrasher. In 2005, he...
