Lyrical Masterpiece

Its sad to me that this cd won't have monster sales or get any radio play because it's not like the garbage that they always play on the radio. I've been a fan of strange music since 2000 and I can honestly say this is one of my top 5 favorite cds ever. Murs lyrics are so deep and every song has a message as well as tells a story. If your a fan of intricate songs one after another it is a must buy. $9.99 is a bargin for music this pure and good. No skits only lyrical masterpieces one after another. This is a cd that you can't skip a single song because every one is that good. Thank you MURS.

Mediocre

This is alright. Murs was once one of the strongest lyricists in the game. He's still intelligent in his work, and I'm okay with him going experimental, but this and the last few albums have been tough for me to like. Every track seems watered down and bouncy. We used to get tracks of fire from this dude. From his Felt work to Living Legends, to his first two albums with 9th Wonder, Murs was a premier MC. Now this stuff is just middling. I think he's gotten older, gotten more comfortable, less hungry. Similar trajectory to Kanye. Used to be really sharp and active, now just hovering around artistic expression just for the sake of it, it seems.

Have a Nice Life

Can't wait for this album! Loved the singles and all of the old stuff by Murs. Already preordered it as a CD, but might just preorder the iTunes version too lol.

Based in Los Angeles, his first single was released in 1993, and came from a self-released album by his first group, 3 Melancholy Gypsies. The track barely made a dent, but it did catch the attention of indie hip-hop fans in the area. Over time, the group members became friends with Mystik Journeymen, who asked 3MG (their shortened...
