Dig up sum more old school itunes!

This is some of the best mid to early 80's hiphop/rap, before gangsta rap ruined it all. There's plenty of this stuff out there itunes, keep giving us more (Too Live Crew, Kurtis Blow, Whodini, early Beasties, and many more). This album is all good top to bottom. T La Rock,

T La Rock & Mantronik

Old School studio technician and all around virtuoso Kurtis Mantronik teamed up with talented NY rapper T La Rock for what could be one of the best examples of NY rap before, like menitoned below, LA took its grip on the seen a few years later (other examples of Old School NY Rap: Mc Shan, Just Ice, LLCJ, Big Daddy Kane, KRS One). This album is very pure in terms of production and content - the focus is entirely on the music and is about having fun. Not so much trail blazing in terms of style/fashion (T La Rock was a sign of the times), but this was just an all around solid old school album.

The older sibling of Treacherous Three's Special K, T la Rock's greatest contribution to hip-hop was "It's Yours," a 1984 single produced by Rick Rubin.
