I saw the Sweet Divines 1.5 yeas ago at the 1st Annual Brooklyn Soul Festival. They opened the show and then worked their butts off backing up every band that followed, and they were totally fabulous in every way. When they perform, each member of the troupe gets her own moment to shine, but as you can hear when they sing together their harmonies are super-tight. They got a smart dude who seems to love soul who is writing good original songs for them. Personally I think they have big, bright future. I If you get a chance to see them live - go! As for this album, I'm just getting to know it, but so far I just love it. If you like soul, these are your girls.
