One that stuck around

Sure it sounds like you've taken a time machine back to about 1987. This album, however, is one of that hair metal sound that sticks around still. Back when I was wearing parachute pants and Member's Only jackets, this was the music. I drove all around Leavenworth, KS cruising and listening to this on cassette. So much so, that I actually wore out three copies of it and never could manage to find a CD copy of it. Well, the eighties sound survives now. Thing about this album, though, is that theres a little more to it than just your typical glam hair rock. The lyrics on "How the West Was Won" will let you in on that quickly. There's some not so great tracks too. I'm just happy that iTunes finally found it in their hearts to put this one out here for everyone to enjoy.

Time and $ Not Waysted

Wow! Can't believe ITunes came across this jem. I wore this Lp out in the 80's. UFO had fallen on hard times and Pete Way formed Waysted and I remember thinking what a great vocalist. The songs found here still feel fresh and rock with the best of them. If you were even into UFO or Tyketto this is a must have.


I saw these guys open up for iron maiden in 1987 and they really impressed me enough to go out and buy the record. i have since gone thru the cd and now have it on my ipod. Great melodic rock, if you are a fan of any of the great rock bands of the 1980's I HIGHLY recommend this album.

Waysted was a short-lived and rather obscure British heavy metal outfit from the mid-'80s. Led by former UFO bassist Pete Way (hence the spelling of the group's name), the band's original lineup consisted of another UFO alumni, guitarist/keyboardist Paul Raymond, in addition to guitarist Ronnie Kayfield, drummer Frank Noon, and a chap called Fin on vocals.
