iTunes Review

The anthems of female solidarity—“Hell on Heels,” “Takin’ Pills”—take just the right tone, playful but not corny. And when the group addresses social issues relevant to their constituency—whether the interfamily conflicts of “Family Feud” or the depression depicted in the devastatingly beautiful “Housewife’s Prayer”—they let the pain and confusion of life linger in a way that's truthful, mature, and utterly extraordinary.

Perfect country album

This album is exactly what country music needs! These ladies can write, sing, cuss, harmonize, empathize with wives of bad husbands... It's perfect. I promise that every song is worth every penny. My personal favorites are "Trailer for Rent," "Lemon Drop," "Housewife's Prayer," and "Boys From the South." Miranda Lambert is incredibly versatile, she's sure to own the CMA's this year!

Now this is country music!

I have been listening to Miranda Lambert for years and I was stoked to hear that she had a group in the works. This music is soulful and just great fun! Listened to the cd as soon as it downloaded and it's in my car starting tomorrow morning on the way to work! Windows down, fresh air, night drives and country music. If I had to choose one I had to live without...I'd choose the dirt. Thank you for beautiful sounding, REAL music!

Dubbing themselves the Pistol Annies, the three developed a spunky, harmony-heavy...
