Rich, Deep, On Fire

Confessed big fan, this album still amazes with it's force and subtlety, fantastic harmonies and Neko's usual poetic maneuvers. After about 5 listens I feel totally drawn in, excited to see what else jumps out from the songs - so many layers! so fun to listen! so powerful! Keep up the good work, Neko! And anyone who gives this album less than 3 stars is a knucklehead!

The struggle is real

Feels like she’s struggling. There appears to be a struggle she’s going through and she’s no where near seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. There are strong overtones of mortality and regret. The music is darker than her other material and more haunting. However, it also feels like she’s struggling with song...the structures feel a little forced and unfocused. Maybe pushing through writers block by continuing to write. It’s noble and the results are good. Just not quite a finished cake.

Always a fan

Elvis Costello-ish (Imperial Bedroom)...and that's high praise ! Yet so unique and so beautiful , and the music ain't bad either.
