This is my favorite from Max Richter. I just love his use of piano and strings. It's got so much depth and emotionality. It reminds me of scores like "The Reader", "A Single Man", and a few tracks from one of my new obsessions, Josh Kramer, whose "Beginnings" album is one of the best I've heard in a while. Big Kudos to all of these up and coming composers.
If I had to choose only one album to accompany an easy wondrous walk through a forest ... or through a life ... I would choose this one. I've been much more than simply an admirer of Max Richter's work for only a short time, but his music has become the soundtrack behind much of the creative work I do today. Frankly, I could not imagine or write what I do today without it. This album makes use of tracks from some of his other albums to produce the first of Max's albums I willing listen to from beginning to end in continuous loop. Indeed, this is more than a soundtrack to a motion picture, it speaks to tones of the subtle and empathic heart to become the soundtrack to a life. I recommend it for rainy and tender days ... of which there are too few for my tastes.
WOW! What a beautiful music!!! Max is such an amazing artist.
