11 Songs, 45 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Rascal Flatts’ winning combination of high-gloss harmonies, guitar heroics and achingly romantic songwriting comes through once again on 2009’s Unstoppable. While their smooth vocal blend remains the focal point, Joe Don Rooney’s muscle-flexing guitar is a key element giving these tracks punch and definition. Whether embracing sadness or celebrating a day at the beach, these Rascals remain at the top of their game.

worth every penny

i'm not even a fan of country music in general, and i didn't even buy the cd for myself, but i think its awesome! i bought it for my girlfriend because she has been DYING to get this cd. her life literally has been centered around counting down to its release today. when i got home, i decided to listen to it myself, and i found out very quickly, she did NOT wait in vain. This album is 46 minutes of fun, powerful, and beautiful songs.
Here's my breakdown:
01 Love Who You Love: an energetic love song that effectively introduces the spirit of the album.
02 Here Comes Goodbye: a sad song. it starts off calm, but grows in energy.
03 Close: a really cute song, this is just what my girl is like :D
04 Forever: another sad song about a relationship cut short.
05 She'd Be California: really fun song with a great solo. about a pretty girl.
06 Unstoppable: a powerful song about the strength of love and relationships.
07 Things That Matter: the title perfectly describes what this calm but powerful song is about.
08 Summer Nights: a really fun song about summer beach parties.
09 Holdin' On: sad. he's holdin on to the hope that it isn't over like she said.
10 Once: a relationship is over, but its more hopeful than sad, here he accepts it more. chorus reminds me of Concrete Angel and More in the way it flows.
11 Why: really really sad song about a suicide. but, very powerful and a beautiful conclusion to the album.

disappointed

I'm not disappointed in Rascal Flatts but I am disappointed in itunes. Why are they hiking their prices to $1.29? I have been loyal to itunes pretty exclusively for a few years now but I will start looking at other sites for the music I want at a better price now. As for the music Rascal Flatts never disappoints.
