Album Review

Multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and recording artist Gretchen Wilson's volume in Legacy's Playlist series contains four tracks each (all the singles) from her two hit albums, Here for the Party and All Jacked Up, including "Redneck Woman," "Homewrecker," and "California Girls." There are two from One of the Boys, including the beautiful "Come to Bed" and the title track. In addition, her raucous live version of Heart's "Barracuda" and her devastatingly beautiful reading of "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" from the compilation The Pilgrim: A Celebration of Kris Kristofferson are here. There are also two B-sides: "Don't Do Me No Good" and "If I Could Do It All Again." If you already have Greatest Hits, you have most of these cuts, but the Kristofferson track and the two B-sides make this very inexpensive package worth it.
