Full Scale

Down with the untouchable Diggin in the Crates crew, Showbiz and A.G. first came up on the strength of their classic 1992 single "Soul Clap" b/w "Party Groove," setting the stage for their beloved debut album Runaway Slave. Growing up in the Bronx alongside hip-hop, and surrounded by talented peers like Lord Finesse, Diamond D, Big L, OC, and Fat Joe, they had the perfect environment to hone their skills both on the mic and the SP-1200. Dropping in 1998, Full Scale is their third album (following Goodfellas), and was originally released as an EP before being extended to a 15-track full-length. While slightly darker in tone, it still impresses with heavy-duty drums and slick, streetwise verses. Choice selections include the aptly titled "Spit" and "Raw As Ever," the bass-heavy title track, and D.I.T.C. posse cut "Dignified Soldiers."
