Fantastic covers collection

I'm not normally a fan of covers albums -- especially from songwriters whose original work I greatly admire. But Thea Gilmore's "Loft Music" is a start-to-finish stunner. Check out her "Bad Moon Rising" and "Don't Come Close": I can't think of many folks who could take a Creedence Clearwater Revival song and a Ramones song and make both better than the originals -- staying true enough to the source material to show respect while also making them entirely their own. Those two cuts are the dazzlers here, but frankly, there's not a bum track on the whole album.

Awesome!

This album is really great! Why there are only 2 reviews (well, 3 now), I can't understand. Is it that people are not hearing Thea's beautiful voice and brilliant ability to cover a song without the original getting lost? It's so worth your time to give this album and this artist a listen!

Wow

I just heard her for the first time now. very good. I love it!

Gilmore began writing poetry and short stories to amuse herself amidst her conventional surroundings,...
