Customer Reviews

Not sure but hang on….

As a long time fan who grew up in NJ listening to Bruce’s music, I find some of these reviews amusing.
For all of those complaining it is not like BTR or BTUSA or The Rising, wake up! It is not supposed to be! While those albums were great, he can’t keep putting out the same stuff without pushing us a bit as listeners. He has said many times that he believes he is “on a journey with my fans”. Even though I keep looking for the next Thunder Road, going down the same roads into the same towns seems like a boring journey to me.

A response to silly reviews

How you can rate an album on two songs is beyond the scope of imagination, aside from the fact the entire album will not be released until next year. My five stars is to balance out ridiculous people. First off each Bruce album, if you are a fan has its own unique message regarding the times we are going through. Wrecking Ball was about trying to hold on in a time when everything was crashing around us. It would seem BUT only time will tell this album is about the fact that even in a "Great Depression" there is hope. That no matter how much darkness envelops us, it can't rain all the time. We have to have "High Hopes"

The 80s were 30 years ago.

For all those who criticize his new music, Bruce has evolved. This is a good thing. If you like artists who just do the same thing their entire life, go listen to Bon Jovi. Frankly, I like the new music. High hopes has sort of a bluesy feel to it, and though that may not sit well with the "fans" who only like his poppy music, It's a good song. Dream baby dream and 41 shots are some of his best music of this century. And then there is the rest of the album that none of us had heard yet. And guess what? New Album means new tour, from the greatest live artist in rock. So stop complaining. Be happy.

In the decades following his emergence on the national scene in 1975, Bruce Springsteen proved to be that rarity among popular musicians, an artist who maintained his status as a frontline recording and performing star, consistently selling millions of albums and selling out arenas and stadiums around the world year after year, as well as retaining widespread critical approbation, with ecstatic reviews greeting those discs and shows. Although there were a few speed bumps along the way in Springsteen's...
